Various snapshots from the city
Allright, let's give another shot at a mixed English-French blog here. Well, it's Saturday morning and for once, I am already out of bed by 10h. I guess having slept alot on Thursday and Friday does cure you from several late night / early morning shifts.
Yesterday, I went back to Palm beach to show the area to my friend and CAE colleague Nicolas. Except the rain, and the way too many flies (waiting for his picture!), everything went smoothly and he got a better view of Australia. Unfortunately, it happens quite often that engineers sent to different countries don't take the time to see something else than the Airport, the training facility and their hotel room.
Below are a few pictures that I took while in the city for the moon festival some time ago. It is supposed to be the moment of the year where the full moon is appearing as the fullest and the brightest at the equinox. I played a little bit with different modes as I know my Canon doesn't perform so well in the dark.
For the last picture, while waiting for Jacqueline, Michael and Kevin, it was already quite dark, so I had to put my camera to night portrait, disable the flash, and set it on a timer so it stays still at the moment of the picture. Quite happy with that one.

Very nice pictures... Guess you're getting some pretty nice weather compared to here (gray, cloudy and rainy... typical fall weather for Montreal). Enjoy!
Julie
Hey Jean,
You can call me 'Jacqui' - only my Dad calls me Jacqueline when he's very angry! haha
Your photos are absolutely gorgeous. You have a real eye for it. I can't wait to see the pic of all the flies at Palm Beach.
Thanks for writing in English :)
Cheers - Jacqui
Thanks for the picture comments! Really appreciated. Maybe I should start selling my pictures... Hmmm, I need a concept or something!
Oh btw, please let me introduce you to Jacqui, she's Michael's gf! Oh Jacqui, here is my sister Julie!
Hey Julie! Nice to meet you.
And yeah, you should sell your pictures! You could make a photographic diary of your experiences in Australia - put some words and entries, but mainly photos. And lots of other stuck in things. Like a collage.
Jac :)
